Maytag Neptune goes through all cycles including spin, but then will continue to "flip" clothes and will not turn off and unlock door. Has "flipped" clothes at the end of the spin cycle up to 12 times before I push the manual stop button. This will stop the cycle and allow the door to unlock. It also seems that clothes are not wrung out as completely as they have been previously.

Well the clothes should be pretty dry if its spins like that so you are going to want to check and see if something is wrong with the pump or something is obstructing the internal drain hoses.

As for the other problem it sounds like the timer or control unit may be the problem.

This is one of the most difficult and troubled washers ever built, and I almost always urge folks to replace it.

Hello, it sounds like you have been bitten by the faulty door latch wax motor...

See Neptune help for a solution. I suspect that the Q6 triac on the machine control board is shorted out and that keeps the door latch wax motor energized. This keeps the machine tumbling at the end of the wash cycle because the machine is waiting for the door to unlock.

You will need to replace the wax motor, 12002535 and the Q6 triac and the R11 resistor on the control board which is located behind the timer in the top console. Don't worry... soldering is not too hard as there is a video on the site that shows you what to do.

Don't buy a timer...

I did not see which model you have but on the MAH3000 Neptune's with the serial numbers starting with 10 - 25... these have 2 more wax motors in the soap dispenser that control the bleach and softener flows. These 2 wax motors should be replaced as well.
