My washer stops in the rinse cycle. I ere it try to do something like maybe dispense fabric softner bot it does not. Then it never fills with water the drum does not turn, and when the timer gets to thirteen minutes it pauses and never starts again.

Here is a service manual (from another site, I am sure they won't mind). See if you can use the diagnostics listed to isolate or narrow your problem.

Good luck and let us know what you find out.

Thanks I got the manual. Performed the tests. It will not fill cold water. Does not make sense when I check the fill switches the tub fills all the way to overflow level. This is good but after it drains and I open the door the stainless tub is cold. It would seem that if the cold water valve would not work the tub should be warm or maybe even hot. I have the units stacked so I have to do some more work before I cann actually take voltage and resistance measurments.

More and more it sounds like a timer problem. I assume that when you say it does not fill with cold water, that is on the cold water wash part of the cycle. It may be allowing the cold water on the rinse part of the cycle.

Sounds like you are testing all the right things. Let us know what you find out.

Good luck
