Model Number: PALW880QAW1 Brand: Amana Age: 5 - 10 years
I have an Amana MFG number PALW880QAW1, Washer - Top Loading with a leak which seems to be coming from between the outer tub & the lower tub. I noticed that after removing the agitator that the center hub is very corroded. Any thoughts on what may be the problem? I so what parts do you suggest that I order?

I would pull off the front panel and verify bad tub seaL and bearing by looking at the tub seal area. If so, you will need a special gear puller to pull the old bearings. I would do a search in google to find a cheaper repair proceedure. Some techs say avoid a repair, not worth the effort, I tend to agree, this is not an easy job!
