Model Number: mav8600aww   Brand: Maytag   Age: 5 - 10 years   

i have a maytag mav8600aw with a noisy spin bearing ...i'm thinking of replacing it myself....what all parts would / should i get ? i have an idea but i want to know for sure ....i also have the service manual handy ....from what i've seen and read i would have to remove everything down to outer tub to start bearing r& r

You have to order the tub & seal kit which includes: housing, bearing, seal, screws and installation instructions. Also you have to oder some special tools: the spring removal tool - part number AP3854720, the seal nut - part number AP3873487, the spanner wrench - part number AP3854730 and the central seal grease - part number AP191107 .
