I found that a penny had been launched into the plastic tub of the washer and caused a hole, leaking profusely.

I took the tub out and separated the halves, and want to know if the plastic is repairable with fiberglass or perhaps with a PVC glue and plug.
The hole is actually the thickness of a penny and almost as wide, so it is a slit. I figured I could repair this, but I am unsure of the type of plastic and if fiberglass or epoxy will stick permanently to it.

Any ideas?
Thanks, Doug

I don't know. I would try a good two part epoxy, which I think will work.

Good luck, let us know how it turns out.
