My Kenmore washer will fill and agitate but won't spin. From reading post I think it might be a lid switch, but could there be another problem? I also think this is a direct drive washer (no belts) but I don't know. Any help would be great. I'm very good at repairs, just need to know where to start. Thanks.

Yours is a direct drive, and yes the lid switch would be the logical failure as it must be closed before the washer will spin. Try actuating it by hand and see if you can feel the click of the contacts closing. If not, then it probably needs to be replaced.

Thanktou for the FAST reply. The lid switch does not click and it also seems very loose. I will test it and then order a new one. Thanks again, saving $ by doing it myself really helps.
