I have a neptune washer. It started to shack violently. I replaced the rear struts. That helper a little. It still jumps too much. The top counter weight sometimes hits the side of the machine. Is there something off balance?

Maytag makes very good machines. Unfortunately yours is not one of them. With a lot of machines we can suggest a fix, with yours there are too many possibilities.

Here is the service library on your machine. The top entry is a service manual, but you will also see a number of service bulletins, including one on your problem.

http://www.servicematters.com/m..._library/html/index.html

Anyway, do some reading (ok, not as good as a fine novel) and you will find a number of possibilities.

Good luck and let us know if you are able to find your problem.
