LE error
The washer will fill then start to wash (test with water only) turn anti clockwise 3 to 5 times but when to turn clockwise may do this 1 to2 times but after 3rd time it fails to turn LE error reset and same. The bearing is free and motor tested. With back off motor is trying to turn but is locked and can not tujrn even with help seems to be trying to turn in both directions. So seems to me to be a control drive unit as the Hall senses not turning would indicate ok. Whatever causes the motor to electically lock up would be the answer, so if an answer would be good

Ouch, the dreaded LG Washer LE code.

First of all, I cannot get your model to come up, can you check the model number and see if it is correct?

On the LG models the Central Control Unit sends a signal to the motor to start up. The Hall Sensor measures the RPM of the motor and reports back to the CCU. If the motor is not turning at spec speed, the CCU shuts down the machine and displays the LE error. Welcome to the wonderful world of computer control units.

From your description it appears you have a problem with the motor or motor control unit, but unfortunately the only way to tell is to change out the parts and see if that fixes the problem. This is an expensive, time consuming and risky way to go, but that is life with the LG.

Hope this helps, and if you can confirm the model number or post the correct one we will see if we can give you some further guidance, but it is not going to be pretty.
