On any Whirlpool, Kenmore, Crosley, Roper, or Estate washers, if the drive shaft is changed, does a seal need to be changed also? I had a Kenmore that would not turn correctly, and had a good used transmission, and drive shaft, the transmission did nothing to help, so i figured I would try the drive shaft, but i heard it would posssibly need a new seal. I just can't see where a seal would set into on any whirlpool made machine. If anyone needs clarity cause i know its pretty confusing just let me know.

Sorry no one has responded to you earlier. I think people are talking about the tub seal, and making the point that if you remove the tub to replace the brake tube assembly you should replace the tub seal at the time. This is probably good advice, the tub seal is inexpensive and you have already done almost all of the work anyway.
