i removed the front panel on my washer and found several things wrong. the first problem is that the belt is loose. I do not know how to tighten it. the second problem is that there is a white plastic box thing that has detached from the washer wall and is just hanging there under the bottom side of the wash tub. the third problem is there is a black piece that is broken. i believe this black piece functions as the brake, but i am not too sure. how can i tighten the belt? i think i can figure out how to fix the other two items, but if you have iinput on them, please dont hesitate to explaiin. thanks.

There should be ideler or tensioner which is connected to a spring. If the tensioner or spring is not present you will have to replace them.
