Default Wax motor not working
Model Number: MAH4000AWQ   Brand: Maytag   Age: 5 - 10 years

My washer is leaving the clothes wet when finished, I noticed the door lock light was not on while operating, the wax motor for the door latch was not working, a voltage test indicated that 124 volts AC was at the wax motor while machine was in opporation. Installed new wax motor but did not correct problem.

Thanks,
bcanapp

Hi,

Take a look at the R-11 resistor on the control board to see if it's burnt.
