I have a direct drive Kenmore washer. The washer agitates and fills fine. It will not drain or spin. I have removed the pump and motor. When I test the motor it spins freely and under power it runs counter clock-wise fine. When I try and run it on spin the motor barely run in the clock-wise direction. Is there something I should check? From what I have found it is just reverse polarity on two of the motor wires for change rotation of the motor. Any suggestions?

Thank you,
Greg

I assume you have the motor out of the machine for testing.

The direction of the motor is determing by the timer, so if you are bypassing the timer and applying current directly to the motor the problem may be the motor. If you are applying directly from the timer the problem may be the contacts in the timer.
