How do I determine which size agitator cam repair kit to order? The agitator works, but seems to be slipping, and when I move it by hand it will go both ways - to the right and left.

Do I simply need the cam repair or a whole new agitator?

I don't think you need the whole new agitator. The agitator repair kit should fix this problem. You can watch on the following video how to do it step by step.
