Hello-My washer is making a humming noise, but so far is working perfectly fine. Any tips on how to stop the noise? I hope I don't have to get a new washer.

Thanks!

Is it when it agitates, spins or both? Is it coming from the motor/transmission area? Give us as much info as you can.

Thanks

When it agitates and spins. Im not sure if its coming from the motor/transmission area. It does a full cycle with the noise. Thanks for all of your help.

Ok,go to the library of video's at the top of this page and find one that will tell you how to open up a Whirlpool direct drive washer.

Then operate it and see if you can tell where the noise is coming from. It may be something simple like the pump.
