Frigidaire gallery washer
Model Number: gltf1240aso Brand: Frigidaire Age: 5 - 10 years
I have a new plastic knob timer to instal as the previous one has cracked,the new one supplied by reliable Parts has a brass threaded insert in it which does not allow me to put it over the brass spindle as they appear to be the same diameter, can you please tell me how to make the new one fit Thankyou jellyb

Well, most Frigidaire timer knobs will screw off, so I am wondering if you were sent the wrong knob.
Here is the knob as listed by the good folks here at APP Replacement parts for FRI GLTF1240AS0 | AppliancePartsPros.com See if it looks like the one you were sent.
