Front load washer, 6 years old. Began spinning loudly several months ago. Now it bangs, and grinds when washing and spinning. The spin speed is much slower and seems impeded, or dragging. I no longer hear the "jet engine" sound at high speed spin. It sounds like something is moving and banging inside as well as grinding. The pump sound seems normal. Washer fills and empties fine. Cycles seem normal. Thank you for looking and trying to help!! Also, how would one define "major component" for warranty purposes?

I am guessing the supports are broken, and it may be that the rear bearing is going going going, or has gone. It also may be that a new machine is needed, these are expensive repairs.
