I turn it on; the water goes into the drum; no spin action. I took off the back panel; I was sure the belt was gone but it's intact. I have NO CLUE as to what it could be... the drum is not steady; there's some "bounce" to it; is there a stablizing arm or something (that's what the boyfriend thinks) any info would be helpful

Inside the lower service panel are some tech notes that will tell you how to trouble shoot it. Focus on the speed control board and the door lock assembly/wiring.
