Model Number: PAVT244AWW Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years
maytag perorma
model# PAVT244AWW serial# 22090811EL I just replaced the water pump because the pulley was toast. I noticed that the motor pivots were loose. I assume you are supposed to loosen these to help when changing the belt. Well I noticed they were loose and if you grab the motor you can move it freely on the plastic pivot bushings. I tried to tighten both the nuts on the underside of the washer to tighten down the motor but cant get either of them to tighten. What am I doing wrong? Washer runs fine in agitate, but once the motor speeds up to spin cycle it makes a horrible noise, I am guessing because the motor is not tightened down. I am guessing thats what ruined the water pump pulley. Please help Chris Ads By Google Related Models |
