Water in and out problem needs Drain Line Vacuum Breaker. This part was recommended: AP3073577: http://www.appliancepartspros.com/part_details.aspx?part_id=3073577 From this link I see a small picture of the device without much detail. Need information such as inlet and outlet location, adapters required and detailed installation information, and if it will work with my existing conditions of 2" galv standpipe house drain [1-7/8" od/1-5/8" id] and plastic flex hose discharge from machine [approx 1-3/16"od/1-1/16" id]?

I am assuming you need a siphon break because water is backing out of your drain and you tried taping it up and the water siphoned out of the tub. When I type the number for the siphon break I have in my truck I get the picture like the one on the link you gave. The picture is nothing like any siphon break I ever used or like the one I got the part number off of. Not sure what is up with that try this part number 76660. The other part may be an improved part that works better. But take a look at the 76660 much more universal and easy to install. Questions About Clothes Washers

That is more like it! Although cannot read the details due to small and blurry print, it looks like the breaker is on top-- the bottom leg to house drain and ---the side outlet to washer. Thanks a lot for the info. will order.

Can anyone help put this together?

That is the statement from them when I received a bag of parts that should be able to be put together to make an anti siphon device. Our email exchange is as follows:

Re: Order Received---problem
The parts come in two plastic bags. One with rubber connectors for the drain pipes.
Right now I cannot even get started with the installation with the contents of the other bag, the anti- siphon which is not assembled.
It is in pieces and I have no clue to how to assemble it.
There is the following:
1. black plastic "T" fitting,
2. a little black rubber suction cup,
3. a small white cup with a small hole at the bottom,
4. a metal clip similar to a fastener but it does not fit on any of the parts.
Why was this not pre assembled? or at least with the correct parts and assembly information?
Your response is urgently required. Thank you, John L Teague, email: teague.JL@gmail.com

Mr Teague,
Unfortunately, The parts come to us from the manufacture that way all we do in put them on in the warehouse until they are ordered. I'm not able to find the directions on putting the parts together, or the installation instructions. You might be able to search the web and see if you can find them on there.

I have never had on that came with all that but the black tee fitting sounds like the actual siphon break. All the other things sound like spare parts to help you retrofit it on to your drainpipe and your washer. Again I have never had one like this so not sure. All the siphon breaks I have, have been on the shelf for over a year I am think this is a new thing.

The black T fitting is just that a fitting without any break feature at all. Just an empty T with a grid at one end, no internal parts. The three parts described I assume must fit into it somehow.

Thanks for responding anyway. Will return the part. I will get a vacuum break valve and attach it to a T, it is not that complicated.
