Good Morning,
I am working on a Frigidaire front load washer that won't start. So far I replaced the door latch hoping that will resolve the problem but still won't start. Water comes in then stops after 5 seconds. What should I do next. Thank you.

Disconnect, and check the water level switch and the air dome hose, as a precaution. You'll find your tech sheet and diagram in an envelope on the left side of the interior cabinet, when you remove the lower access panel, you should attempt to perform the diagnostic tests and component operation tests listed. So we'll have a better idea of what the issue might be. :) :) :)

Joe,
Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. The motor does not spin at all. If I advance the cycle to drain/spin the pump kicks on but the motor is inoperable. The door switch and pressure switch checked good. Should I replace the motor control board? That's what I had in mind.

Darius Citywide Appliance Darius, You're on the right track, The motor on that washer doesn't have too many problems, so the motor control board is a good solid choice. Good Luck, :) :) :)

Joe,
Thank you. I agree. Never had to replace the motor on this particular model based on experience.

Darius Citywide Appliance Repair Darius, Glad we agree, there. The motor should be the last thing to consider, in most cases. Thanks, :) :) :)
