Washer Repair

i went to this house today and no water was coming into machine at first when i tried it. opened machine up and after a long time, atleast four to five minutes the machine did start to work properly. i may have jiggled and fixed a loose connection or i think there might be a problem with something else?

Check and be sure the plug is making a good fit in the wall plug. Tom ********************************************

i checked that and it was fine. what i think where the problem lies in that there may be a loose connection and the water valve?
