[FONT='Verdana','sans-serif']After pushing the start button, the door lock mechanism clicks, the door locks but a message on the LCD displays “The Door Did Not Appear to Lock – Make sure the door is shut” After tugging slightly on the door, another click is heard and the door unlocks. The LCD then displays “The door appeared locked unexpectedly, if problem persists…..” A few seconds after this, a short “buzz” is heard from the latch / lock mechanism, the LCD then displays “Door Locked” but the door in unlocked.[/font]

[FONT='Verdana','sans-serif']In the diagnostic mode, the diagnostic codes #4 – Door fails to lock; #61 door locked early; #17 Door not opened. I then cleared the codes and attempted to re-start and basically the same occurred. Checked diagnostic code in service mode - #61 appeared. Ran the “Quick Spin Test” without issue after receiving a warning that the door was not locked.[/font]

You are probably right, but you will have to replace to be certain. Your control unit may also be the problem.

If you buy from this site and the part does not fix the problem you can return it.
