Last cycle washer stops buzzing noise all cycles
My washing machine will not fill on last cycle. I hear an electrical sound and then buzzing. All cycles then either buzz or silent without working. I unplug and leave for a while and can get it to start on all but last cycle. :(

Since it will go through the wash cycle ok, including the draining and spin the likely suspect is the control unit. Chagne it out and see if that fixes things.

problem continues
Thanks, I did inspect timer control and gave it a shot of silicone spray in the back were the knob screw is. I seemed to feel it release in one area. However before doing that, as soon as Motor started buzzing I turned machine off and inspected Motor. It was to hot to touch. I removed start switch and found behind red casing black smudge. Hooked starter switch to a multimeter and found two out of the 3 tests failed. So before I can retest I have to decide if I want to purchase a new motor or just starter switch. Would a failed starter switch cause Motor to heat up so hot?
I was also hearing a thump on right side of machine mid way on cover now while in wash cycle. It was not doing that before. I had replaced motor couplers and cam dogs and may have not seated something correctly. |
The motor should have a built in safety switch which shuts it down if it has a problem, so try just replacing the switch.
