The locking system on my Whirpool GHW9250ML1 is broken because when I look where the part should be on the door I see nothing except a couple of empty holes in the door frame. On the machine side, I can see the "trapping" part of the locking mechanism (inside an approximately 1"x2" black hole/box) an it seems to be fine. I can make the repairs, with no problems, but, for the life of me, I cannot determine which part or parts to order when I scour the "Doors and Parts" diagram on this site. Can someone please give me a part number, or numbers, that I can use to repair my machine?

Thanks,
Matt Collins

I am getting sort of desparate for a reply to my original post -- the clothes are beginning to pile up -- and would appreciate any and all help.

By the way, when a response is posted, will I receive some type of alert via e-mail or should I return here periodically?

Thanks,
Matt Collins
