Model Number: WPSR3100W2WW Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
My agitator only works when I fill the washer to a large wash load. If I fill it to a super load the bearings or something get wet and the top slips. I want to buy a new agitator, but I cant figure out how to get the old one out. Can anyone help me out with this problem? GE PROFILE MODEL# WPSR3100W2WW

Remove the dispenser assembly from the agitator and unscrew the bolt holding the agitator (#301 on the tub and agitator break down diagram).
The problem could be a worn out agitator coupling (#310 on the same break down diagram). - The part number for the agitator coupling AP3964635 - Here are the break down diagrams for the GE washer Model WPSR3100W2WW Gene.

Thank you for your time Gene, But the agitator coupling seems to be working great. It's the top of the agitator that slips and does not go round & round, it just goes back & forth, if I fill it to high. I removed the dispenser and saw no nut, It's a sealed part. The agitator has to be removed in order to get to the bolt you talked about. I to thought it should be that easy! It's NEVER that easy is it? Could it just pull up and out?

In that case you just have to pull it up. It could be Very Hard!

It use to be a special tool, called "Agitamer". I'm afraid it's no longer available.

Thank you again for your time, I think I'll order the part and see what it looks like and try to get it out. If it works I'll let you know how I did it, maybe I'll use a tool called pounditout. Wish me luck!!
