Whirlpool Neptune front end washer clicking noise on fill
Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years
When I start the wash and the machine fills with water there is a clicking noise that seems to be coming from the top of the machine near the back. I don't hear it during the wash cycle. Everything else seems fine.

oops, more info
I posted this thread and just opened the washer, turned the basket counter clockwise and the clicking occurred. The clicking does not occur when I turn the basket clockwise.
