The washer will fill, agitate, drain, re-fill agitate and drain, but will not spin. There is a noise like maybe the pump is still trying to drain. If I lift the lid, the agitation stops and starts with lid down, so don't think it's the lid switch. This happens in both the regular and casual cycles

Take off the front cover and operate the machine with the cover off so you can see what is happening while it is trying to spin. That will tell you if the motor is not moving, or if it is and the transmission is not moving.
To take off the front cover, insert a screw driver in the gap between the front and the top at the edges to release clips that hold the front on.

I am experiencing the same symptoms as the person above. All functions perform perfectly, just no spin. front cover is off and motor doesn't turn in spin cycle. Lid switch is good. Thanks. Is there any noise at all from the motor during spin cycle? Humming or all quiet? You can disconnect one of the wires from the drain pump if it's making too much noise to determine if there's noise from the motor. It's normal for the drain pump to be running continuously during the spin cycle.

Eric I was able to find on line a diagram that showed me how to check the motor by hooking it up directly to an outlet. I did so and the motor worked perfectly, spinning the tub. So the motor works both directions. I checked the lid switch and there is continuity between the wires when it is closed. I checked the load selector and there is continuity between the Yellow/Black and the brown wire when water is absent. I guess the next step would be to look for a broken wire???? Btw the motor was silent when the pump was unplugged in spin cycle.
