Washer agitator

Model Number: LSQ9549LW0 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years

The agitator in my washer has stripped the gears, the bottom part of agitator works, the top part does not. I'm trying to figure out how to seperate the two part of the agitator so that I can see what part I need
