Drain Pump Noise
Model Number: MAH8700AWW Brand: Maytag Age: 1 - 5 years
My Maytag Neptune Front Load Washer Makes A Lot Of Noise When The Drain Pump Comes On. Pump Works Just Very Noisey, Any Suggestions? Dont Want To Buy New Pump, Only To Be Noisey Again.

You can access this pump through the panel in the rear of the machine. You will probably need a few towels or something to catch the water when you remove the hoses attached to the pump.
Inspect it for an obstruction, or foreign material in the impeller. If you see physical damage to the impeller you'll need to replace the pump. Part number: AP4044238
