Washer Repair

Well, it was in the middle of a spin cycle, and it just stopped. It wouldn't drain the water out of it (I drained it out by hand). I tried to start another cycle, but it won't turn on. All I get when I try to start a cycle is a "buzz" sound, and then nothing.

I'm guessing a major part just stopped working - could it be the motor? or the agitator? It's so old that it's not worth the cost of a repairman, but I can't afford a new one either!

I'm hoping someone who reads this will know immediately what is wrong!

It was working, and just stopped in the middle of the spin cycle. it didn't drain. It won't start a new cycle. It buzzes when I try to start a new cycle, so I know that the breaker is working.

Where should I start to trouble-shoot?
