If the tub tumbles when spin starts to stop, you have sticking brake shoes. The clang could be a loose drive block that attaches the spin basket to the spin tube.

What do you mean by tumbles??

Let me try to elaborate a bit more. It spins fine and removes all the water as it should. When the spinning cycle is done, it makes one clang noise and then comes to a normal stop. Its just one noise and it only happens when the spin cyle is over.

Let me know your thoughts and whether this is something that should be repaired or ignored.

thanks

The only thing that would make a clang noise would be the spin basket, maybe something is in the tub like a metal object. You will need to get the special spanner wrench to remove the spin basket to look.
