Fridigaire Washer not agitating or spinning

Model Number: FWSB34RGS0 Brand: Frigidaire Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a Frigidaire washer that will not agitate or spin out the clothes. The timer works and counts down and the water drains fine. You can hear a motor running when it is supposed to be agitating/spinning but nothing happens. We've noticed for months that it would make a squeaking sound when it would spin but we never thought twice about it.

I'm not very savvy regarding appliances, but I have taken it apart before to replace the control panel/timer thing and to unclog the drain (socks).

I'm hoping it's something simple...like a belt?

Please advise....

Well, I guess I'm going to buy a belt tonight and hope that's the fix.
