I need to open the washing machine to check the pump but cant see how it opens.

Here's a parts breakdown drawing of your model. Part #375 is the front panel. Insert a putty knife into the space at the top of the front panel, under the top, and in line with the edges of the lid opening. You'll feel a spring clip in each of the front corners there.
While applying an upward pressure on the top panel, push in on the clips and they will release the front, so that it will swing down and outward. The pump is located up front; bottom right.
