The water keeps running and will not shut off when the level is reached. What part needs replacing?

If the water won’t stop when you unplug the washer the water valve is bad and needs replacing. If when you unplug the washer the water stops remove the front and look at the left-hand side of the tub. You should see a tube attached to the side of the tub remove it and see if it’s stopped up. Sometimes this tube will stop up right at the end and you can clean it out with a toothpick. GE Washer Leaking Repair Guide
