I have a Maytag top loading machine. It will not always spin when going through the cycle. I have four different areas with spin on the dial. Only one works and tonight it quit there also. Am wondering if it is the control or transmission and how do I determine which it is.

I think it is more likely the control unit since it was working on one cycle.

You will have to change it out to be certain. If you buy from this site and the part does not fix the problem you can return it. See the returns policy for details and conditions
