My Maytag Centennial Top Load Washer Starts To Fill With Water For A Few Seconds And Then Slows To A Trickle Or Stops.if Youfil; By External Means When The Correct Water Level Is Reached The Washer Starts Help Please

Put a meter on the leads to the valve assembly when it is supposed to be filling. If it still is getting 120v when it stops, replace the valve assembly.

If its not reading 120v what would the culprit be?

Probably the control unit. That directs power to the valves. It could be the water level switch, but if so that would probably start it agitating and since it is not doing that the control unit is more likely the problem.
