The agitater in my 4 year old Hotpoint works for about 30 seconds, then stops. It does this is every cycle phase. All other functions appear to be okay. Have checked the agitater splines, and they are in good condition. No oil or anything underneath, and I don't seem to be able to smell anything like burning wiring or overheating. Any suggetions?
Thanks

Does it restart after it stopped? What is the complete model number of the washer?

Gene.
