Model Number: MAH5500BWW Brand: Maytag Age: 1 - 5 years
Step 17 "Attach JP4 connector from main wire harness to the new motor control board" in instruction sheet 16022221. It's not intuitive which direction this connector goes. There are white, white, yellow, red, and blue wires in that order in the connector. Can you tell me if the blue wire ends up on the right or the left after connecting it to the new board? I don't want to fry the board on the first try by plugging it in incorrectly. Thanks for you help.

According to a schematic for your machine, looking at the motor control board, with the two-pin connector to the RIGHT of JP4, the blue goes on the extreme LEFT, Farthest from that two-pin connector.
To find the appropriate service manual for your machine, go to 16010061 Maytag Neptune Front Load Washer Service Manual - ApplianceDigest.com and register (It's free). you can then download your manual. |
