when to change springs belts suspesion items
Model Number: PAVT234AWW Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years
The agitator is now nediing repppplaced bcause it i nw not staying down during the cycle. I was wondering as far as maintenance goes when and if I should change the springs, suspension and or belts? I want to do the upkeep if needed to make sure that it is doing it's job. The machne seems to get of balance more frequently and seemsto be noisier. hanks fo your help!

There is no real preventive maintenance on these models, although you might want to replace the belt just to make sure that is not a problem. Keep an eye on it and if it gets worse run it with the front cover off and see if you can determine the problem.
