My washer seems to be shaking excessively during the spin cycle.

Is it normal for these to fail on a little over 4 yr old machine?

How do I determine which ones are bad or is it necessary to replace all four?

This is not one of Whirlpool's better efforts. Not many of these were sold and those that were do seem to have problems.

I would replace all, since damage can be difficult to be seen. If you want to save money you can take all of them out and try to determine which are bad.
