This is a front load washer machine. The drum shaft bearing located in the rear outer tub assembly (shell) is very loud and leaking an oily liquid to the outside of the machine. Question - Is it possible to replace the bearing and seal without replacing the entire rear outer drum assembly without destroying it? We have two very good bearing supply houses here in town. I have the washer disassembled and am ready to split the tub. Any advice you can provide would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
