Had a problem with washer. Replaced the bearing, Now I am suspecting I need the extra shim in there.
When I start a cycle, it starts normally, but you occasionally hear what sounds like sandpaper rubbing on sandpaper quickly. After several minutes of the wash cycle, it stops. If I try it again, it hums, and the light plugged into that outlet also dims.
When it cools off, I think I can set it to the spin cycle and get rid of the water...but at the moment, spin cycle will not work.
Does it sound like an extra washer shim is required under that C clip? It was NOT easy getting that C clip in...not sure I can do it with another washer in there.
Do I have to order another bearing clip to get another washer, or can I get the washers alone?
Please help, I'm about ready to throw in the towel on this one!

Turn the pulley by hand and see if it lift up enough to release the brake and allow the tub to turn.
