washer door wont lock nor work

Jest was wondering if any one had a similar problem as I am. When I go to start my washer I close the door pull the knob to start it the lock light comes on but nothing happens. I called GE they sent me a new door latch and this did not fix the problem. Dose any one have any ideas

You have a Frigidaire Gallery washer sold under the GE name.

Here is a link to the service manual that will show you how to trouble shoot it. Focus on the wiring to the control unit, and the control unit itself.

thanks alot for your post it turns out i need a new door lock assembly. now my next quistion is dose any one konw where i could get one of these

Easy answer. Just click on your model number on this site and you will be taken to exploded views of your machine. You can then order the parts with a short phone call.

Those of us who reply do not work for APP but we can strongly recommend them. There prices are great, delivery charges small and the returns policy is very generous. Plus they have this great Forum
