Kenmore 80 series will not spin
Model Number: 110.26852501 Brand: Kenmore Age: 5 - 10 years
My washer will not spin I can hear the motor running like it is spinning when lid is closed but the basket will not spin. I have checked the lid switch and changed the drive motor coupling. still not working

The problem is probably a worn out clutch. See the Sticky by Richappy at the top of this page for a discussion. Replace the clutch lining and check the brakes and see if that fixes things.
