Unhappy LOW-SPIN DURING SPIN CYCLE of MayTag Neptune Dryer/Washer stack
Model Number: MLG2000AWW   Brand: Maytag   Age: 5 - 10 years

Maytag Neptune stacker dryer and washer combo about 5 years old (or so). Originally thought pump was not working or draing clogged, as at end of wash cycle clothes are completely and drenched with dripping water. Checked dump and drain hoses and they are clear and working. Problem seems to be that the spin cycle (in any of the Regular, Wash & Wear and/or Delicates) is funtioning incorrectly. During the spin cycle the motor does spin the clothes bin back and forth, but at such a low speed that the water is not centrifually removed from the clothes. Any suggestions on determining what is wrong and how to diagnose? Thanks, Doug

Maytag did change out the motor/motor control unit on this model. Contact them and see if you can get them to send you the tech bulletin on this.

I cannot say for certain that is the problem, you will probably have to change it out to see if that fixes things, but it should.

If you buy the parts, make sure you provide your model and serial numbers to get the right one.
