I've got a front load figidaire washer that hums when I start it and does nothing. I went through the test steps and got error code E59. I ohmed out the motor and it looks good so the next step was to replace the speed control board which I bought but was told it's really called the motor control board. $160 later, the new motor control board didn't fix the problem. Any idea what could be the real problem?? Is there such a thing as the speed control board and where is it?

The speed and motor control board are the same thing. If you bought frm this site and the part did not fix the problem you can return it.

I would check out the pump and the drain lines to make sure nothing is obstructing things, and the water valve assembly to see if power is getting to it. If all this checks out the control unit is the next suspect if you are absolutely certain the motor is ok.
