I have a Kenmore Ultimate Care II Topload Washer and it will not empty after the first wash. The waster remains in the barrell and will not go on to the rinse cycle. I have changed the timer and the pump but the problem is still the same. I do not have the model or serial number but would appreciate if you could shead some light on it and if it a quick fix or should I just consider getting a new machine.

Joe, A check to the lid switch operation and circuit would be the first place to start, a Lid Switch problem would keep the motor from running in the spin/drain cycle, but allow it to fill and wash. When you replaced the pump, you did check the drain hoses(s) and tub outlet for clogs and debris ? Good Luck, :) :) :)
