My Cabrio washer's drum rocks back and forth while spinning and then stops during the spin cycle. There is about ten minutes left during the cycle when this happens. It seems as if something that stabilizes the drum is broken. The UL code flashes.

This drum floats so there may be a problem with the structure. The UL is unbalanced load, which really means the drum is moving too much.

See if this Service Manual helps you open it up to see what is wrong.

Diagram didn't help. Have ordered suspension kit but need to know if control panel and back of washer have to be removed to install rods.

The service manual linked above will tell you what you need to know.

Good luck.

I'm having the same issue. Even with an empty tank, the washer bangs all over during the spin cycle. What mechanism actually balances the tank during the spin cycle? I have replace the stator, because it had cracks in it and the stator kit with the tube and connections from the motor to the control unit. Can anyone tell me what I need to check on the suspension of the tank? I have the service manual but it only tells you to rearrange your clothes if you get the uL error.

Thanks,

Jim
