Hello. I bought this washer from a friend as is. Said it was working but when got it, it had been sitting outside under a tarp. Also, was a BIG household running washer every day of the week and multiple loads. Im sure it has been over loaded Many times. Everything works fine except it will not spin after the rinse cycle. Is this an easy fix my husband can do? Hes pretty mechanically inclined and has fixed many appliance for us. Hoping is a cheap fix. Thanks for any info. Trish

If it will spin after the wash cycle but not after the rinse cycle the timer can be the issue. If it will not spin at all, the clutch/brakes are likely the issue. Here is a site that talks about how to fix the clutch Clutch Replacement on Whirlpool and Kenmore Washersand see the Sticky at the top of this page on direct drive brakes for info on working with them.
