Model Number: LSG1000 Brand: Maytag Age: More than 10 years
The washer (Maytag LSG1000 stack washer/dryer///bought in 1990)leakes in the back left side of the back area of the tub it seems and possibly the upper left part also or only.I can't see any leaks at the hoses and connections on the left side.I replaced the Injector valve (part # AP4025626) and the Nozzle(part # AP (40255333).It seems like a hose or connection of some sort that feeds the rinse water in is the problem. Its very tough not seeing behind the tub.The water leaks down on the left bottom and also sprays on the bottom back panel over the vents and on the middle left side inside panel.I hope you can help me.....Thank You

I had the repairman try to fix it and he said it was the inner tub.I'm not so sure of this.He did level off the unit which helped abit. The washer doesn't leak when using a "small" load but still leaks alot in the "medium" and "large" load options for wash.I put in the injector nozzle plus the rubber tube which the injector nozzle goes into.I noticed that the small, medium, and large water level options aren't almost all the same as before. You can notice less water in the small load than before. The water comes into the tub about at the same rate but more water drips in on the left upper tub toop inner rim area for the fill as it once did.I'm thinking that the problem is in this area and it might be the injector hose that feeds into the tub. Another thought is the washer pump which appears to be working fine though.Somehow on the medium and large loads modes the water isn't getting out fast enough on the spin cycle and leaks. The tub spins nice and pretty smooth which makes me think the inner tub and transmision are ok.the belts are new and the stem and bearings were repaired by the same repairman who did a good job and knows this machine pretty well for the most part.
